How to charge an Electric Vehicle?

You can charge at specific charging points:

 At home:

  • Open the charging port: Locate and open your electric vehicle's charging port, which is usually on the front or rear of the vehicle.
  • Connect the charger: Plug the charging cable into your vehicle's charging port. Make sure it is properly connected to start the charging process.
  • Monitor the charging status: Check your vehicle's dashboard or charging app to monitor the charging status. This will show the progress of charging and the estimated time remaining.
  • Disconnect after charging: Once your vehicle is fully charged, disconnect the charging cable from the vehicle. Store the cable properly for future use.
  • Close the charging port: Make sure the charging port is closed to protect it from dirt.

At public charging stations: thanks to our partner SHELL, you benefit from the SHELL Recharge card as well as its services:
  • Identify the nearest available charging station using the Shell app.
  • Once there, park your vehicle in the dedicated parking space.
  • Connect the cable on the vehicle side first, then connect the cable to the charging point (for fast chargers, there will already be a cable on the charging point, in which case simply connect it to your vehicle). Make sure your vehicle doors are closed.
  • Slowly swipe your card over the RFID reader. The green light will turn blue.
  • The recharging session will begin. Let your electric vehicle recharge in complete safety.
  • To stop charging, pass your card slowly over the RFID reader. The light, which was blue or green if the battery was full, will go out.
  • Unplug the charging cable and store it in your vehicle (unless the charging cable was already on the charging point).
  • You can view the details of your session on your app. Charges will automatically be billed to your recharge card.
